Just past the 45 day window for returns, the player decided that every, absolutely every, disc I entered was a "bad disc" and would not play it. Since there is no way for even Amazon to contact the seller VCT, I will have to buy a new one and send the old one back for a refund from Amazon. At least Amazon will be refunding my money. I am reluctant to buy electronics from Amazon in the future and will never buy a product shipped by VCT. Unfortunately due to the draconian policies set by the film companies and their region coding system no brick and mortar store in my area sells region free devices.

i looked forever online to find a dvd player for us that will play our german dvds and almost gave up but than we ordered this dvd player and gave it a shot ! it works perfect and our daughter is happy watching her german kids dvds :) and mama too :)

I really benefit from the Toshiba Multi-regional dvd player. Since I enjoy watching movies from regions which use different formats, I no long feel confined to one format! Region free is the way to go!

I bought this player about 9 months ago, but have used it very little (maybe 10 to 15 times) as I am more out of the country on travel than I am in the country. I tried to use it yesterday, and it would not recognize any disk I put into it. From what I could tell, the seller, not Amazon, offers no recourse for return and/or exchange. And no way to learn if there is something I might do to correct the problem.
Nor, as I could ascertain, any advice on whether or not the problem is fixable!
Toshiba claims that these recorders are not manufactured region free, and that this particular model is not manufactured for US sales.
Big disappointment!
As always, Amazon is the best. But, this product and this seller... not recommended.

I read the description and ordered it because it said it would play DVD+R,and DVD-R discs.Well when I put in the DVD+R disc,a meun came on screen and told me what was on the disc,but it could'nt play the video clips I put on the disc.In that respect I am disapointed in this product,but everything else about the player is O.K.
