Needed a machine to play PAL region 2 dvds for my ntsc tv in region 1. This machine does the job perfectly.

The DVD player was not what was expected for such a good brand name. Would not work at all when taken out of the box. I would suggest that it is a good idea to buy from your own country that way you don't have to pay twice as much for the product if anything goes wrong and you want to claim on the warranty as postage costs so much.
