 Splotches and streaks after 500 pagesOct 31, 2011

I received the NT-P0350 (TN-350 compatible) cartridge rather than a refurbished Brother TN350 when I ordered a refurbished cartridge from the NT-350 product page (beware). The NT-P0350 search lands on this product page and the cartridge I received looks exactly like this one. Initially, this aftermarket cartridge seemed to perform fine. After about 500 pages, however, I started getting splotches and streaks on my prints. Upon removing this cartridge, I found the cartridge does a poor job at keeping the toner contained and toner seems to leak out near the edges of the roller and into the drum unit. This didn't happen with my prior Brother cartridge. I blew out the extra toner with compressed air and reassembled, but light streaks still appeared on my prints. I then swapped in an original Brother cartridge the printer is now working fine. I called the reseller and they refunded 1/2 the purchase price, since I don't plan on putting it back in the machine. I would be concerned that the leaking toner might eventually damage the drum unit and the printer.

Sure, I took a gamble with this cartridge. I have a small brother laser for home use. Previously I had purchased a new printer when my old cartridge ran out since it was the same price to get an entirely new (smaller/faster) printer. But this cartridge has worked out fine, and I won't be throwing a perfectly good printer away! No streaks down the middle or any other obvious issues. I'll buy again.

I ordered two of these for the price of one of the name brand ones, and I was somewhat disappointed. If you're printing something that doesn't really matter what it looks like, then this cartridge is okay. However, I print items that I sell and the streak down the middle of every page just isn't good. I finally used up both of them and went back to buying the original Brother product. I wish the streak wasn't on every page as I would have loved to save this much money.
Got a NT-P0350 instead of TN-350Aug 07, 2010

I ordered a TN-350 cartridge but received a NT-P0350 after a 14-day waiting. The shape of NT-P0350 is completely different from the TN-350. Although I eventually placed it into my copier after several attempts, it's a little looser than the model NT-350. The product photo shown on their product sheet is a TN-350 but they were actually selling a NT-P0350. They should tell buyer the truth (it probably wouldn't hurt their sells) rather than playing photo and wording games on their product information sheet. I had ordered cartridges online many times from other sellers and never had this kind of problem. Since they offered me to return the NT-P0350 (I didn't return it though), I gave them 2 stars instead of one star.

It's hard to review a product when you haven't yet exhausted the quantity you purchased. But this is still as good as anything I had before and at a much better price.
