Nice Little ToyNov 21, 2007
By P. Collins I was a little worried about the volume issue mentioned by a previous commenter. When the toy arrived the first thing I did was check everything out. I do not find this to be a particularly loud toy. As long a the child didn't squeeze it in the middle of the night, I don't think there would be a problem (It would be a little disturbing to wake up to the tinny, sing-song octopus voice).
It's very cute, and I think all little ones would enjoy the colors and sounds!

I bought this for my 6 month old granddaughter. She is now 9 months old and still loves it. She seems to be attracted to things that are blue, she plays with this toy daily. She likes the rhyming best!

5 month old enjoys, but Yellow touchpad already brokenOct 15, 2008

As I expected my baby boy at 4 months old really took interest in this toy. He is teething and likes to chew on every appendage, even the ribbon "hair". He is delighted by the sounds, especially the rhyme mode, and works well to divert him from cranky moments during play. The back of the octopus' head has a velcro opening, which enables you to possibly wash the fabric body, but I have not tried to do it yet. However, the Yellow tentacle's touchpad receiver became broken after only a couple of weeks of very light play, which is disappointing. Overall, he does not seem to know the difference, and plays with it in various ways. It is a good toy for parent-child interactive play.
