Great except for the maggotsSep 28, 2012
By Oscar G Hernandez
This has been my favorite brand of pitted dates for some time now. The last batch however had an actual living moth that flew out of the container when I opened it and at least half the dates were infected with maggots. The smaller batch containers I get at the supermarket are fine.
Wonderful Daily SnackJul 09, 2012

I buy these dates from a local market in Houston, and I go through a box in about a week or two .. they're so good ..
Yes, some of them are dry (which I prefer), and some are soft. It really depends on the batch, but you get a bit of both in each package (ratios vary per package).
Dates go perfect with nuts. whether it's walnuts or almonds, but I found "blue diamond oven roasted sea salt almonds" to be a perfect match. I stuff each date with 1 or 2 almonds, and I get a perfect combination of sweet and salty .. try it!
This is an excellent snack that has lots of fiber, and it tastes great!
VERY GOODSep 09, 2011
VERY GOOD, THE DATES WERE VERY GOOD.THEY WERE JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING.I WILL GET THEM AGAIN.THEY WERE A LITTLE SWEET, BUT YOU GET USE TO THAT. THEY MAKE ME GO EVERY DAY.
Good but not roundFeb 06, 2011
The dates were fine, but note that the packaging was rectangular, not round.
Since we were sending these on, this required repacking to fit the gift tin.
Not an issue if you're taking the dates out of the packaging anyway, but FYI...

Outstanding Snack!Dec 06, 2009
By Gary Peterson
I've got a bit of a sweet tooth. Doesn't everyone? Well, I try not to keep candy and related sugar-packed items around the house because if I do, they'll disappear. But I do like sweets now and then. I've found a wonderful natural substitute: a product put out by Sun Date. I buy 2-pound (32-ounce) containers of dates, very much like illustrated here and put out by the same company. I found them at my local warehouse club. The ones I buy are Fancy Medjool Dates with pits. The ones listed here are unspecified pitted dates. I'm sure either would work, perhaps equally well. In any case, these dates make a wonderful sweet treat for people who are trying to stay away from manufactured sweets. Plus they offer a good source of dietary fiber. Outstanding snack!
