Szeged Hot Hungarian PaprikaMar 13, 2010
By M. Hill I live in Minnesota surrounded by people of Scandinavian descent and bland taste buds. Since I'm of Hungarian descent, finding a good Hungarian paprika is important to me for making some of my family recipes. My mom used it for years and I did too until I ran out of the spice my mom sent to me. This is the best paprika!

Great Sweet PaprikaApr 23, 2011
By Joseph M. Seda I had to order this online because my favorite local stores doe not carry this brand. The cheaper Paprika's they carry taste like chili powder. This is the real deal. So far only deviled eggs but I am just waiting for chance at goulashes or Russian Paprikashes.
Great buy, good value!Dec 12, 2011

I won't say that I know the real flavor difference between Hungarian Paprika brands. What I can say is I purchased my first bottle of Hungarian Paprika from Williams and Sonoma. While W&S paprika is tasty (IMO), their bottle only has 1.9 oz, while this can has 5 oz., more than twice the amount! Like I said, I don't know how "authentic" the flavor is but this one was tasty when I made Paprikash. I would buy this one again.
Sweet taste and ruby red colorApr 02, 2010

Great for Mexican dishes too. The difference between this and the other brands in your grocery store, that the Hungarian kind doesn't have the bitter aftertaste in larger quantities. Hungarian measurement is "put 2-4 TBS in the food (for 4 persons), enough to turn it nice red" Famous for the smooth sweet taste and the ruby red color.
