The cologne is fantastic--the best--but the shipping costs are USURIOUSJul 30, 2008

"I'd Rather Just Buy It Online"
When you buy a product that weighs a pound and costs eight dollars and ninety nine cents, it's a bit shocking to be charged MORE THAN THE COST OF THE ITEM for shipping. Ten bucks plus for shipping is a complete, total, and offensive rip-off. Our friends at the US Postal Service can ship a package weighing a pound from sea to shining sea, California to the East Coast, for just under five bucks via priority mail shipping--that's TWO to THREE DAYS! If a person is willing to wait a bit longer, there are cheaper options still--parcel post shipping (eight days, maximum) is a mere $4.55. Yet the vendor of this product doesn't offer these options.
Certainly, it's reasonable to tack on a buck or two for handling, but those charges are a bit over the top.
This cologne is wonderful to keep in your refrigerator, and splash on when the day is hot and oppressive, but that shipping price needs to be fixed--it's just too high. It's GOUGINGLY high.
I know a retailer who carries this product, but it's not convenient for me to get to his store--he's off the beaten path and twenty or so miles away. At ten dollars shipping, it's become more convenient to buy from that retailer. I'll simply have to take the time, make the drive and stock up in the future, rather than have the product delivered. It's a shame, too, because it would be nice to have delivery available--but at substantially less than ten bucks a bottle, thanks anyway!
Do be sure to check those shipping costs before you order an item, I didn't, and it's my own fault that I got stuck with an onerous charge. Live and learn!
I won't be buying from this seller again until the shipping costs go down.
