Good Substitute for Principe BiscuitsNov 17, 2010

I have been desperately searching for Principe Biscuits ever since my parents brought some back from their trip to Spain. However, it does not seem to be a product that is imported to the U.S. The only ones I could find to buy were from a British online store and it cost more to ship them than to purchase the cookies themselves! I just couldn't justify spending $100 on cookies, so I tried to forget about them. Until, one day I came across these Hit Biscuits at the grocery store. They looked similar, so I thought that I would give them a shot. I'm so glad I did. These are suckers are great, especially dipped in milk! They are almost the exact same thing as the Principe Biscuits, although, the cookie parts of Principe Biscuits are slightly less dense and a tiny bit flakier than the Hit Biscuits. So the Principe Cookies are still #1, but Hit Biscuits are a very close 2nd and are great if you can't get a hold of any Principes.
