The cartridge produced a very uneven print. It might have been ok for file copies but not for professional reports or school papers.
Cartridge failed out of the boxAug 25, 2011

I bought three HP Q7553X compatible cartridges in March 2010 to insure I had cartridges on hand for my two HP LaserJet P2015d printers when the current cartridges ran out. I had them stored properly until 8/24/11 when my old HP cartridge ran out of toner. I opened the first box and after removing the packaging, the paper insert and the tape insert, and after properly shaking the cartridge to re-distribute the toner I inserted the cartridge and ran some test prints. I got completely blurred print (horrible) down the left side of my document. I tried several more test prints and the result was the same. I took the cartridge out, shook it carefully again on the off chance the toner was still not distributed and put it back in the printer. Same smeared, blurred result down the left side. I eventually printed about 15 test pages to give the cartridge time to settle down, but all pages had the same blurred defect.
I then opened the second of my three cartridge boxes and tried that one. I followed the same procedure as above. This time the cartridge worked perfectly and the print quality was perfect.
I went online and learned the time to send back the product has long since expired according to Amazon's policies. I have tried to find a direct contact telephone number for Inkers, but so far have not located one.
Moral of the story. These cartridges would seem to be a bargain, but a failure rate of 1 out of 2 decreases the savings considerably. I wonder how many of the reviewers actually used their cartridges before writing a favorable review. My third box remains unused, but I will shortly need to open it because my second printer is almost out of toner.

Two of the 3 toners in this order had quality problems. One leaked toner very badly and the other put black marks along one side of the printed page. However the supplier provides a prepaid return mailer and replaced both of the toners in less than a week. Note that I have used this companies' toners for over 2 years for this toner cartridge and also the one for a HP LJ1012 laser printer. This is the first time I have had a problem with their products and I will continue to use them.
