Love the Green Tomato Salad - Closest to what my Mom Made!Jun 13, 2010
My mother and grandmother used to make a salad with green tomatoes, peppers, and onions what we called "Pickalilly" (sp?). I vaguely recall how it was made, but I used to eat it by the bowl full! This is the closest thing I have ever found to their recipe! It is delicious! Great to eat alone or along side a meat dish, slice of roast or meat loaf! Zero to no fat and low in calories! YUM!!! Highly recommend! Best when cold!
