By Mark I have never had chorizo before, but had a recipe (Cocido) that needed some. When the product arrived there was an error with the order, customer service was excellent and the problem fixed quickly
I tasted the sausage when i got it and was really impressed, however the true flavor came out in the stew. It was very good. Spanish Chorizo is based on paprika and mexican is based on cumin??? (I think).
Shipping costs will probably double the price.

Mild palacios ChorizoApr 04, 2011
By ssbanner I spent 9 months in Spain, and this is just like I used to buy in the Mercadona (local grocery store). I'm definietly glad I made the purchase. Prompt delivery and a good product.

Family FavoriteNov 11, 2008
By Sharon Abbenhaus Spanish chorizo is not available locally. I have ordered this product several times and the family loves it diced into scrambled eggs. I also like to use it in pinto bean recipes and just sliced thinly on snack crackers.

IF you like to cook cocido or fabada, this real McCoy chorizo from Spain is for you. You can also fry/saute the chorizo a little & enjoy with sherry or vino rojo.

Flavorful and natural, excellent chorizoMar 05, 2013

"Don't blame me, I'm just a prototype"
First of all, I'd like to clarify to prospective customers that this isn't Mexican chorizo, which is an altogether different type of meat. This is Spanish chorizo. Spanish chorizo is typically harder and has been cured for a longer time than Mexican chorizo.
What can I say about this chorizo. It is excellent. Made with all natural ingredients (pork, salt, paprika, and garlic) and no preservatives, it has a full taste that will cause you to salivate whether you eat it finely sliced on a piece of bread, finely chopped in an omelet, or slightly warmed up in a sandwich.
This chorizo is marinated and then cured for some time in the cold mountain air of Spain, following a traditional recipe. The result is one of the best cold meats you will ever eat.
An additional advantage to the preparation and curing process is that despite just using natural ingredients and no preservatives, this chorizo lasts much longer (several months) than equivalent products you usually buy in American supermarkets.
There are many different types of Spanish chorizo, with variance in quality, taste, and price. This is a very good moderately priced chorizo, with an excellent taste.
I also recommend the Picante (Spicy) version of this same chorizo. Both are very good.
