Yum! This is good stuff. I like ajvar in general. It's a great spread or dip for bread and also goes very nicely as a sort of "side salad" with meat and potatoes or rice.
What to compare it to? I would compare it to salsa in a way, but it's also a bit chutney-ish. It's not vinegary tasting, nor is it horribly spicy. I dont think it's spicy at all, even the hot stuff. It's bright reddish-orange and can stain easily too, so be careful!
