I ordered Manuka honey as a gift to a granddaughter who has yearned for it ever since having it in Australia. It has a special flavor not found in any other honey. Interestingly evough, I now find that in Australia it's also used to help heal skin abrasions and burns--a claim that actually has a scientific basis. Seems that Manuka honey contains a very mild form of hydrogen peroxice, which is antiseptic. Interesting? Well, I myself haven't tasted it yet, but my granddaughter assures me it's a delicious gourmet treat.
